I am Aaron Keppel and I've been making hats under the label id (ĭd) n. since the fall of 2001.

I am not your grandmother's milliner. With a background in sculpture, I often find myself being drawn to shapes, techniques, and concepts that challenge the idea of what we traditionally consider millinery. While I do work in straw and felt, I’ve also made show stoppers from wood veneer, parchment, fiberglass and gold plated brass and I’m always looking for “alternative” materials and means of fabrication.

Seeing my work grace the pages of magazines and periodicals is wonderful however, my greatest joy comes from collaborating with a client who appreciates the beauty and artistry of a hand made custom creation.
